Alcoa Names Muehlboeck Group President

NEW YORK, October 24, 2006 (AFX) - Aluminum producer Alcoa Inc. on Tuesday named Ingrid Muehlboeck as president of its European mill products group to replace Philippe Royer, who has decided to leave Alcoa to pursue other opportunities.

The European mill group supplies more than 2,000 customers in a variety of
industries with aluminum flat-rolled products from plants in France, Spain,
Italy, Hungary and Britain.

Muehlboeck, 37, will be located in Geneva and will retain responsibility for
Alcoa's flat-rolled products business in Latin America. She joined Alcoa in 2001
from AMAG, a privately owned integrated aluminum company in Austria.
