LINTHICUM, Md., June 17, 2009 (News Release) — Hydro Aluminum North America’s Monett, Mo. facility received the Gold Industrial Wastewater Pretreatment Compliance Award from the Missouri Water Environment Association (MWEA).

“Hydro continuously strives to be a good neighbor in each of our facilities’ communities,” said Tim Keesling, environmental manager, Hydro. “To receive this award from such a dedicated environmental association is an honor and solidifies Hydro’s dedication to maintaining the environment.”

The MWEA granted Hydro the gold award because the facility is in complete compliance with all wastewater discharge and reporting requirements; it has an industrial wastewater treatment process; and Hydro has a history of good relations with the nominating city of Monett.
