JW Aluminum Announces New Leadership Structure

MT. HOLLY, S.C., April 29, 2009 (News Release) — JW Aluminum announced today a new leadership structure designed to better navigate the challenges of today’s environment and to take advantage of opportunities and markets created by the recent economic downturn.

Lee McCarter has joined JW Aluminum as Senior Vice President of Finance and Chief Financial Officer.  Most recently, Lee served as CFO of Fleetpride and previously as CFO of Propex and SI Corporation.  Don Kassing, President and CEO stated, “Lee’s successful history as a CFO under private equity ownership will allow him to quickly step into JWA and lead the efforts to make our Accounting and Finance functions world class.”  In addition, Lee will also have responsibility for the IT function.

Ron Marchbanks has been promoted to Senior Vice President and Chief Operating Officer.  Ron will lead the combined efforts of the Plant Operations group, Sales and Marketing, Supply Chain, Engineering, and HR.  Kassing elaborated, “Ron’s extensive experience in each of these functional areas will allow him to help me coordinate the communication and execution of our corporate strategy.”

Craig Eddy will now serve as Senior Vice President of Strategy and Business Development.  “Craig has been an excellent addition to our team since our acquisition of Coastal Aluminum and will continue to be instrumental in evaluating and developing new markets for our products,” said Kassing.  Eddy will also continue his role in external corporate issues including government affairs and association membership issues.

JW Aluminum manufactures specialty flat-rolled aluminum products including “fin stock” used by the heating and cooling industry, light gauge converter foil for the flexible packaging industry, honeycomb foil for the aerospace industry, bare and painted sheet products for window coverings and the building and construction markets, and other foil and sheet products.  JWA operates plants in Mt. Holly, South Carolina; St. Louis, Missouri; Russellville, Arkansas; Jackson, Tennessee and Williamsport, Pennsylvania.
