CANS for CAUSES

The Cans for Habitat program, a partnership between The Aluminum Association and Habitat for Humanity ended on December 31, 2008. However, the excitement to boost recycling efforts across the country continues!

The Aluminum Association's CANS for CAUSES program, which began on January 1, 2009, is a domestic program designed to support ALL organizations in their effort to recycle. CANS for CAUSES will be a resource tool for groups like Habitat for Humanity, Schools, Girl Scouts and Boy Scouts, Big Brothers and Big Sisters, Lions Club, Rotary Clubs, YMCAs, Hospitals, College and Universities, PTAs, etc.

Here's a brief overview: After you register for the program, The Aluminum Association will provide recycling bins and help find recycling centers closest to you. Organizations will then be responsible for taking all cans to their drop-off centers and collecting the money. These funds will belong to the individual organization and can be distributed however they wish to spend the money.

~We enjoyed our partnership with Habitat for Humanity and we are proud of all the program achieved. We changed our path simply to accomodate all organizations. We hope Habitat for Humanity affiliates will continue to place their bin orders through CANS for CAUSES and allow us to continue providing the recycling support needed for a successful future.~

Bin orders can be placed by   clicking here.
