STANDARDS MEETINGS
The majority of the Association’s standards activities are carried out by the Technical Committee on Product Standards (TCPS) in accordance with The Aluminum Association procedures governing these activities. Product Divisions may also form technical committees to work on specific standards that affect their products. For example, the Electrical Division has a Task Group of AA Representatives on National Electrical Code Panels. Member companies are welcome and encouraged to participate in these standards activities. Participation can take many forms from commenting on an individual proposed standard to naming a representative to serve on TCPS. The only requirement for representatives is that they actively participate by commenting on projects, returning ballots, and attending meetings. To request a copy of a project or to discuss placing a representative on TCPS, contact Parvaneh Shafiee at (703) 358-2990. |
