The Aluminum Association's Spring Meeting will feature three days of networking with peers and business meetings at a great location with dynamic speakers on energy, politics and the global economy.

Join us April 20-22 at the Ritz-Carlton Laguna Niguel in Dana Point, CA. The hotel rests atop a 150-foot bluff along the coastline in the heart of Southern California.  We hope to see you there.



To register for the Association's Spring Meeting,

  • 1-2 members: full price
  • After the 3rd member, $150 discount per registrant
  • After the 6th member, $300 discount per registrant

Bringing a guest or spouse? Please add your spouse/guest to your registration on the "Registration Information" page by selecting "Add Spouse."  You may also register your spouse/guest seperately by using the spouse registration type.

Hotel Reservations

Reservations at the Ritz-Carlton Laguna Niguel are available in the Aluminum Association's room block at a discounted rate of $285.  To make your reservation, please call 1.877.266.6065  and reference the Aluminum Association.

Please note, the Association's room block has closed.  The Ritz-Carlton Laguna Niguel may still honor the discounted rate of $285 if there is availability. 

What to Wear

Please note that the dress code for the Aluminum Association Spring Meeting as follows:

  • Meetings (Lunches, General Sessions, Committees and Divisions): Business Casual
  • Welcome Reception – Monday, April 20: Business Casual
  • Reception and Dinner – Tuesday, April 21: Business Casual with a beachy flair



  • Amy Walter: An insightful political analyst with unparalleled access to campaign insiders and decision-makers, the Cook Political Report’s Walter will provide the inside scoop on the landscape in Washington today.
  • Aron Cramer: The author of Sustainable Excellence and a globally recognized expert on corporate social responsibility, Cramer will spotlight sustainability strategies that drive business success.
  • Chris Reed: A Director at Honeywell Aerospace, Reed will discuss general economic trends with a particular emphasis on the aviation and aerospace market.
  • Tim Hayes: A principle at metal industry research firm Lawrence Capital Management, Tim will provide an outlook of emerging trends in the aluminum marketplace.  
  • Al Clark: Clark, from global business consultant the CM Group, is one of the nation’s foremost experts on the Chinese aluminum market. You’ll learn what’s happening in China today and what’s likely to happen tomorrow.
  • David Foster: A Senior Advisor to U.S. Secretary of Department of  Energy (DOE) Ernest Moniz, Foster will discuss the role the industry can play in the Department’s workforce development program.

Guest Event

Savor the aroma, flavor and bouquet of some fine wines with a tasting at the award-winning Laguna Canyon Winery during the Aluminum Association’s 2015 Spring Meeting. Guests will enjoy a sampling of 5 wines at the boutique winery minutes away from the Laguna Niguel Hotel in Dana Point.

Aluminum Association spouses and guests will depart the hotel at 1:35pm on Tuesday, April 21 in a mini-coach to arrive at Laguna Canyon Winery by 2pm.  The event lasts 1.5 hours.  Guests will depart the winery by 3:30pm and arrive back at the hotel by 4pm.  The cost of the event is $65.  

The cancellation policy for the guest event is: if your registration for the wine tasting is cancelled by March 27, you are entitled to a full refund of your registration fee. If your registration is cancelled by April 8, you are entitled to a 50% refund of your registration fee and additional fees. We are unable to refund registration after April 8.

Cancellation Policy

Under the Aluminum Association’s cancellation policy, if your registration is cancelled by March 15, you are entitled to a full refund of your registration fee and additional fees (fees for the golf tournament, golf club rentals, and fees for spouse participation). If your registration is cancelled by April 8, you are entitled to a 50% refund of your registration fee and additional fees. We are unable to refund registration and additional fees after April 8.
