The Aluminum Association Remembers Long-Time Legal Counsel Bill Schweitzer

March 4, 2015
ARLINGTON, VA -- The Aluminum Association President & CEO Heidi Brock issued the following statement mourning the loss of William H. (Bill) Schweitzer, a partner at BakerHostetler and outside counsel to the Aluminum Association for more than 30 years. Schweitzer passed away unexpectedly on March 3 at age 70.

“Bill Schweitzer was a trusted friend and adviser to the Aluminum Association – and the aluminum industry – for many years. Our Board of Directors, staff,  and membership relied on Bill for his always superb judgment and counsel on a variety of issues through the decades. Bill was an important fixture at our annual meetings, a valued voice, and a tireless advocate for aluminum in Washington, D.C.  Our thoughts and prayers are now with Bill’s family, and colleagues at BakerHostetler during this difficult time.”
