Recycling

Recycling

Aluminum is one of the most recycled – and most recyclable – materials on the market today. Recycling aluminum saves nearly  95% of the energy required versus producing new metal, and the U.S. market has become increasingly dependent on recycled metal as the feedstock of various wrought and cast aluminum products.

The Recycling committee provides an open forum for secondary aluminum recyclers to discuss, develop and implement programs to strengthen this key segment of the value chain. The committee works to advance knowledge of the aluminum recycling industry, promote higher recycling rates and improve the safety, health and environmental performance of operations.

Current membership includes: Arconic, Audubon, Commonwealth Rolled Products, Constellium, Hydro, Jupiter Aluminum, Novelis, Real Alloy, Scepter Inc, Smelter Service Corporation, Tennessee Aluminum Processors and Vulcan Inc.
