Ryan Olsen is the Vice President of Market Growth and Development for the Aluminum Association. He is responsible for directing the association's North American aluminum industry statistical program, which publishes a number of reports covering every segment of the market. Through his leadership, the program provides vital market insight and intelligence utilized by the industry to capture new trends, benchmark performance, and inform strategic decision-making.
 
Along with leading the association’s statistical program, Olsen manages the membership and recruitment arm of the association and serves as the staff executive for various market committees, product divisions and working groups. He also served on the interim Executive Leadership Team for 7 months while the Association's Board of Directors carried out its search for a new President & CEO.
 
Prior to the Association, he spent 12 years in the maritime industry at the U.S. Maritime Administration, leading the production of a broad range of economic and statistical analyses. 
 
A native of the Washington, D.C. area, Olsen has a B.A. in Economics from St. Mary's College of Maryland and an MBA from Mount St. Mary's University.  He currently lives in Clarksburg, MD, with his wife and two children.
