Curt joined the association in March 2014 and provides leadership for the industry on a range of environmental, health, safety, and other regulatory issues

Prior to joining the Association, Curt worked as a Regulatory Compliance Specialist for the environmental consulting firm StrataG. In addition, Curt served in a variety of environment, health and safety leadership roles over an 18-year period for both Alcoa and the Reynolds Metals Company. Curt’s many years of experience in the aluminum industry, coupled with his additional early work as a state regulator, provide a solid foundation for his effective advocacy of the industry in the Regulatory Affairs area. 

Curt received a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering (Environmental focus) from the University of Texas at Austin and also holds Qualified Environmental Professional (QEP) certification from the Institute of Professional Environmental Practice.
