The Aluminum Advantage

Aluminum is everywhere ... whether you realize it or not. Learn how aluminum makes the modern world possible.

The Strength of Aluminum

Aluminum can also be some of the toughest stuff on earth. Often, the metal is used in applications where high-strength and durability are the most important considerations – from cars and trucks to building material to military vehicles. You likely trust aluminum to keep you safe and secure dozens of times a day without even knowing it.

The Modern Skyscraper

The modern skyscraper would not be possible without the use of aluminum. With aluminum’s durability, high strength-to-weight ratio, design flexibility and contributions to energy savings, it is the material of choice for architects and designers. In fact, there are many things in buildings that are made from aluminum including door frames, window frames, siding, roofs, curtain walls and entire facades. Using aluminum in buildings can even help the structure qualify for green building status under LEED.

The Right Solution

Modern buildings would not be possible without aluminum. Architects and designers can utilize aluminum to create lighter structures with greater flexibility all while minimizing the expenditure on foundations. Building products made with aluminum are weather-proof, corrosion resistant and immune to the harmful effects of ultraviolet rays. The durable features of aluminum make it the solution for modern buildings.
