Aluminum Association Responds to Delay in Preliminary Antidumping Decision in Chinese Aluminum Foil Investigation

The Aluminum Association responded today to the Commerce Department’s decision to defer a preliminary determination on whether imports of certain aluminum foil from China are being sold at less than fair value (or “dumped”) in the United States.

U.S. Aluminum Industry Files Dumping Action Against China

ARLINGTON, VA -- The Aluminum Association’s Trade Enforcement Working Group today filed antidumping and countervailing duty petitions charging that unfairly traded imports of certain aluminum foil from the People’s Republic of China are causing material injury to the domestic industry.  This action is part of the industry’s broad trade strategy to address Chinese overcapacity throughout the value chain.
