U.S. Aluminum Industry Recycling Rate of 67% Highest Since 1990s

Aluminicaste and Walbridge Bring Membership to 98 Companies

ARLINGTON, VA. The Aluminum Association announced today the addition of two new member companies, Aluminicaste and Walbridge. Aluminicaste joined as a producer member while Walbridge joined as an associate member. This brings total company membership in the Association to 98, consisting of 50 producer members and 48 associate members.

The Aluminum Association has finalized the 2013 edition of Aluminum Standards and Data. The first update in more than four years, Aluminum Standards and Data 2013 is the preeminent reference for aluminum mill product standards and the most complete source of information on wrought aluminum. 

Energy demand and greenhouse gas emissions associated with primary aluminum production in the United States and Canada have declined significantly in recent years according to a new, peer-reviewed life-cycle assessment (LCA) report released by the Aluminum Association. 

Aluminum Association President & CEO Heidi Brock was named Second Vice Chairman of the National Association of Manufacturer’s (NAM) Council of Manufacturing Associations (CMA). 

Members to Focus on Sustainability, Other Issues Surrounding $65 Billion U.S. Aluminum Industry

ARLINGTON, VA. — The Aluminum Association today commends Members of Congress for forming the bipartisan Congressional Aluminum Caucus. Under the leadership of Representatives Larry Bucshon (R-IN), Suzan DelBene (D-WA), Bill Johnson (R-OH) and Bill Owens (D-NY), the recently formed Caucus will educate policy makers and community leaders on economic and environmental issues relevant to the industry and their constituencies.

The Aluminum Association released today the 2012 Aluminum Statistical Review, the most comprehensive source for North American industry data, covering every cycle of the production process from primary aluminum to finished goods to the recovery of aluminum scrap.
