The Aluminum Association released the following statement by Lauren Wilk, vice president for policy and international trade, in response to the launch of a European Commission antidumping investigation into aluminum extrusions coming from China.

The U.S. International Trade Commission (USITC) today made a unanimous preliminary determination that unfairly-traded imports of common alloy aluminum sheet are causing injury to U.S. producers.

The U.S. Department of Commerce today and earlier this week announced its final antidumping (AD) and countervailing duty (CVD) margins calculated in connection with the first annual administrative review of the unfair trade orders on certain aluminum foil from the People’s Republic of China.
