Health and Safety

The Aluminum Association, and the aluminum industry, has long made the safety and well-being of its employees a top priority. Like any manufacturing process, there are inherent risks and hazards involved with the production and fabrication of aluminum. However, the Aluminum Association believes that these hazards can be minimized or eliminated entirely by careful attention to the development, utilization, and sharing of safe handling practices for aluminum in both its solid and liquid forms.

The Health and Safety committee works to address relevant occupational health and safety concerns, as well as consumer health concerns, through research, training, and communications efforts. The committee’s work includes the development of safety and health guidance, engagement on regulatory activity, and monitoring of emerging trends in the safety and health space.

Membership in the committee is open to any Association member.
