We released our 2026 Economic Impact Report this week, highlighting how the industry continues to support jobs, investment and economic growth across the country. The U.S. aluminum industry directly employs more than 165,000 workers and generates a record $115+ billion in direct economic impact. Overall employment in the domestic aluminum industry has held largely steady for most of the past decade despite shifts (some significant) in specific segments. As I noted in a statement, “The story of the American aluminum industry over the past decade is one of resilience and reinvention.”
