Aluminum Week: Congressional Aluminum Caucus Briefing Touts Scrap Export Controls
Association members from Constellium, Hydro, Novelis and Rio Tinto briefed the bipartisan Congressional Aluminum Caucus on the importance of aluminum scrap to the domestic supply chain. The Aluminum Association is calling for targeted scrap export controls to keep more of the millions of tons of aluminum scrap that leave the U.S. each year in the country. Doing so would support American manufacturers, strengthen supply chains and combat Chinese efforts to corner the downstream aluminum and recycling market.
